Re: Windows 7 Passes Windows XP To Become Top OS

You know it's still better to install drivers from manufacturers right

Re: Windows 7 Passes Windows XP To Become Top OS

If WU can keep up with latest drivers I suppose that works
I install my Nvidia drivers before I let WU look for drivers I don't have yet and after that I install everything else

Re: Windows 7 Passes Windows XP To Become Top OS

Just read this opinion on another forum.. " Microsoft knew they were in trouble when millions of Vista installations stopped calling home, people hated that s*** and deleted it. I know I deleted mine. Win7 (Vista lite) isn’t any better, I’m running it in VM under Linux, it’s a dog, no wonder people are going back to XP. Apple iPad alone is outselling Microsoft, so MS may go bankrupt or become insignificant. They fired 5,000 employees in 1 day awhile back.

So the OP has a valid concern, if XP stops functioning millions of businesses will grind to a halt, we may even have a worldwide recession. "

Re: Windows 7 Passes Windows XP To Become Top OS

The claims that XP is loosing ground to top OS being used is flawed. When a company buys a new PC box it comes with Win-7 preinstalled. Credit goes for Win-7. The IT department has to wipe that and reinstall XP. The company has already purschased XP years ago in the volume license. Therefor no credit for XP. Now multiply this by possibly millions worlwide.

No just like to set things in perspective. There's a lot of misinformation out there.

Re: Windows 7 Passes Windows XP To Become Top OS

They really should check into DX11 and videocards in 7 before promoting that aweful 8... hence why I tend to dual install with Vista

Re: Windows 7 Passes Windows XP To Become Top OS

Ok this sounds silly but how do I custom search... 7 seems to be a bit lacking in that area Well I can def not see a "search" in any right click in Explorer
