Win a DisplayLink USB Video Adapter

If you haven't seen the video of 3 of these adapters running 4 instances of video on 3 monitors- please check it out. From my tests, its a pretty impressive product.

I would like to give one of these away so here is how to enter.
  1. Post in this thread and tell us why it will be useful to you or why you want one. Keep the discussion going, if this thread goes over 100 meaningful posts, I will give away a second adapter.
  2. Make a second post anywhere else in the forum.
The contest will end at the end of April and I will randomly draw a winner(s) at the beginning of May.

Good luck, lets here what you think and why you want one!

And we have a winner - Congratulations Adub!

Re: Win a DisplayLink USB Video Adapter

I would like to use one of those adapters to connect a second external monitor to my laptop, which I am now using as my primary computer.

Re: Win a DisplayLink USB Video Adapter

I could use the display link on my laptop on my fish boat, being able to have a extended desktop would be great, my laptop only clones the desktop...thanks for listening!

Re: Win a DisplayLink USB Video Adapter

I just had a briliant idea... getting this USB link thing to work with my N810's (Hidden/Modable) USB port, then using it + keyboard and mouse to access my home computer via VPN... wouldn't be the smoothest of operations, nor practical but awesome and uber geeky none the less. Okay it probably has like no chance of working because nobody has even done it but eh, theres tons of uses for this kinda thing anyway

Re: Win a DisplayLink USB Video Adapter

I have started working from home but do not have the correct cable for my 19 inch monitor for my work computer. So this would be very helpful. I would love a chance for this.

Re: Win a DisplayLink USB Video Adapter

My productivity was increased with 2 monitor for my laptop (one built-in, one external). It'll go way higher with three

Re: Win a DisplayLink USB Video Adapter

That's pretty awesome!!! I could really use one of those since my desktop just died (fried motherboard) and to be able to hook up my monitors with my notebook could really help me out multitasking wise. May it be doing big Power Point projects for school or/and work. Nice job using those DisplayLinks!!

Re: Win a DisplayLink USB Video Adapter

I would like to win a USB to DVI display adapter, my laptop's current vga output for some reason renders a distorted image on my display and so when i came across this link, it turns out that there may be a solution to my problem being that i wouldn't be using the analog signal but using a reliable digital connection by way of DVI adapter.
Do hope i am chosen to win
Thanks,
Shenyue

Re: Win a DisplayLink USB Video Adapter

This adapter would save me a lot of hassle and money! I just purchased a larger 23 inch monitor on sale, I previously had 2 19inch monitors to help with school and I knew a third larger one would help even more. I have also been looking to build computers on the side and multi monitors helps infinitely for research on prices etc! This adapter would allow me to run all 3 monitors without buying a 2nd video card!
