**Attention New Members** Check out folding!

Let me take a minute and ask you to check out the Asusboards folding team...it's easy, it's free, it takes no effort, it benefits a great cause, and it's fun!!

You can check out all the info in the stickied thread at the top of this forum, but here's Mikki's take:

It's easy! Just download and run a small program and that's it! You don't even know it's there!

It's free! free

No effort! Just let it do it's thing, you don't have to do anything!

For a good cause! Our machines crunch data for scientists researching all kinds of good stuff for mankind!
For more on this part, check out Stanford's page! Here's the link! I suggest everyone take a look at this site (esp. the Science page), there's some extremely good info there, it's very interesting and it's cool to know that we are helping mankind in a big way!!!!

It's fun! Mikki's favorite part...Asusboards is one of many teams across the internet that are folding. You can check out team and individual rankings and check out who's on the move and stuff, it's actually a cool hobby...good healthy competition!

So please give us a hand...Asusboards is in the top 25 in the rankings, and that's with just around 250 folding members. Think what we could do with 1000!!!

Thanks for your time and hope to see you on the team!!!

Check out the Asusboards Team thread HERE

lol!!

Well...the reason for this thread is this: I've been a member since...July? And up till a month ago I had no idea what folding was or anything about it. And now that you guy's got me into it...I don't understand why more people don't do it, y'know? It's so easy! How many members do we have? Thousands? How many folders do we have? Around 250 or so? How many are actually folding? About 100? Can you imagine how we'd do if we had 1/4 of our members folding?

So I figure from my own experience that people just don't know, so I'm just trying to get the word out as best I know how!! hehe...

WARNING Folding may be habit forming. You fold at your own risk!

Don't believe me? I'm setting up a new Athlon box to fold as I type this!

That is a fact!! I've got spares but no P4's for the P4 team...

speaking of which, aren't you guy's proud of me? Not once in my post did I make any shameless plugs for the P4 Folding Team, which is looking for more P4-using members, and is currently the third highest producer for Asusboards? I thought I was a good boy for not mentioning that...

Hey guys, I've finally decided to join the AB folding team. I'll be glad to help out as much as I can. I leave my computer on 24/7 anyways.

Folding, rapidly climbing

All,

I started folding just 6 days ago and now I have 344 points. At this rate I will be under the top 100 in 2 days and possibly top 50 in 2 weeks. This is a much more entertaining competetion than RC%-72 cracking was. Hopefully I will be adding another 2.2 gig AMD XP in 2 weeks then I should be in the top 30 within a month.

And to think this is in the spirit of research.
