How to format a USB Flash Drive as MS-DOS Start Up Disk?
Hello all you experts out there. I know someone can help me. I've just bought myself a USB Flash Drive (actually it's free with a purchase of CDR disks). I want to use it as a MS DOS start up disk, so I can boot from it for PC repair purpose. The software that comes with it doesn't support that option (under Format option) under XP, only under Windows 98. So, how do I go about formatting it with MS-DOS (like option when you format a floppy disk under XP and it has Create an MS-DOS startup disk). Can anyone help? Thanks...

This worked for me, and it works on other drives as well. Search HP.com for SP27213.exe.

Re: How to format a USB Flash Drive as MS-DOS Start Up Disk?
Thanks I was just about to look for that. I have the util that turns the entire flash drive in a win98 boot drive, but I need something that would only make it floppy sized (to load a bios).
