Genmay.com and ABXZone F@H Together?

I've been a member of Genmay.com (A forum which recently became networked with this one), and since both of us have Folding @ Home teams, I thought it might be wise to put them together.

Currently ABX Zone is in 18th place. Genmay is ranked 31st.

I switched from Team [M] to ABX today, but it would be interesting to see some other members comments on this thought.

I think the genmay crew wouldn't mind, but it would be nice if there were a little [M] added to the team name in order to make them feel like they weren't abandoning ship.

Who knows...let's just see how this goes.

Doing good man. I ripped my hand up playing softball on the weekend and got reminded that I sit behind a desk too much, I'm all stiff now, but I'm still alive. I took a week off two weeks ago. I actually had a question for you last week and then noticed you had done this thing called vacation, haha. I got it sorted though.

Vacation treating you well?

How about moving over to the GenMay team. I know ABX is ranked 18...but with the power of ABX and [M]enGay we can move up further.

I dunno.

Well, seeing as how ABX is the one ranked higher out of the two it seems to be more fair to ask them to alter the team name to include Gen[M]ay, to show that they are merged. It would be hard to get EVERY high contributing member from here to switch to [M], but of course this is a subject of heavy debate.

Either way, I look forward to posting at this forum

Is that your real name, Sammy? I work with a Vijay - although she's a girl

Welcome to the form dextertheorphan, I agree with you on this. It would make more sense to have Gen merge with us under the ABX banner.

While logically speaking, ABXzone's team would be the one to merge into, there is also the fact that there are more members active on [M]'s team, and it may be more difficult to get them all to come over.

Personally I found the electricity way too expensive to continue folding....Not sure how many will feel regarding the [M]enGay title either  Not all men are gay surely...... I'm quite a happy chappy myself...Not light on my loafers though

While I do understand that there are more folders for [M], our biggest contributor EastMS.edu is a school that almost all installations are apart of an image and that they have the system automated. And trying to image all the computers that they have folding to the new team would be very time consuming.
