I wish we would go back to the forum topics being on the top again. When that was changed, the whole site started going downhill.

thanks

By far the best times at ABX...ahem...asusboards. Look at the names. Look at the activity it had.

the News stories should not dominate the Front Page...nobody reads the News stories...most of the News stories don't even get 30+ views...it's the forum threads that get the most views and replies so they should dominate the Front Page and not be a little sidebar in the corner

I thought this was nice to see:
http://www.justlinux.com/forum/showp...54&postcount=2

Notice I pointed to cusl2 for providing an answer on a forum that used to be known as Linuxnewbie.org. Bummed that when the site changed that a couple thousand of my posts went away - but nice to see that cusl2 was mentioned.

I agree too! This was one of the worst changes ABXZone made.

I had not been a member until ABXZone became organised as it is now, but I can see that the older configuration would work significantly better for the amount of activity on the site.

it did, you would have to constantly refresh the main page if you wanted to keep up

Hey !!!!!

I do read the news stories! The News Team does a great job here!

However, ...

My preference is that of the old tech/OT thread dispay centered at the top. The old setup always showed the top news story right below the post display on my monitor. And scrolling down a bit to see the rest of them never bothered me.

The news stories were pretty much why I came. I rarely clicked to read past what was on the front page though.
