Microsoft Dynamics AX

The company I am working for right now is propositioning me to take on a job as an Application Administrator for Microsoft Dynamics AX. They have a project running right now that involves developing a point of sale system using Dynamics AX. I'm just trying to figure out career wise, whether this is a good move for me or not. What future does Dynamics AX have. I can't seem to find a decent road map on the Microsoft site? The position won't be a development one, it will be an administering and training role. It's a big plate but I think there is a lot of reward in dealing with the plate. Anyone have experience being an application administrator?

Re: Microsoft Dynamics AX

Thanks. I ended up taking the job. So far it's been a bit slow ramping it up but I'm getting there. We ran into an issue that requires a hotfix already from Microsoft. The work around is painful, so I'm going to wait for the hotfix for now.

Re: Microsoft Dynamics AX

LOL, that bad eh? Dell would be easier, but they left town so I can't go back unfortunately. Pay is better where I am too.

Re: Microsoft Dynamics AX

Hope it works out well for you Gorganzola! Admin jobs certainly do s*ck at times, but there are advantages to not being stuck in a cube coding all day. I like both development and IT jobs, unfortunately, I'm having a tough time finding either right now (@#$^^$# economy!).
