Re: Alabama Tornadoes

Still off work. We got power last night 1AM. I am headed over to a freinds house to cut wood.

Here is a video of the tornado that went by our friends house.
YouTube - Tornado in Arab, AL

Two people died at a gas station about 1000ft from their house. I am going to take pics today post tonight. The area has been worked on now going on 4 days so it has been greatly cleaned up.

Re: Alabama Tornadoes

Basically we had 30 counties effected where usually it is one or two. Power lines were devastated and it is a miracle that power is being restored so soon.

Re: Alabama Tornadoes

Glad to hear that you're OK Sandog. I was in Florida and Georgia last week and managed to keep clear of the bad weather.

I'm much more comfortable with earthquakes than tornadoes.

Re: Alabama Tornadoes

Hey guys, thanks for the posts. People here are amazing with how they handled everything (city with the curfew, and how hard working everybody was).

These pics are several days later. Found out noboby was killed in the gas station that was blown away. A house behind it is completey gone which I don't have pics of and the occupant was found 150ft away. He survived and is in the hospital. The electricians already have new poles up on both sides of the road. The sad thing is there are thousand of areas like these all over northern AL. some 1/2mile wide and some subdivisions hit.
