Thanks very much for this important info, Wonderwrench. In my case, though, yesterday I updated four XP Home SP3 computers with this update and all of the others, and fortunately I've had no problems.

Thanks for the information, I don't have auto update activated but my antivirus program tells me when Windows update have something important, but this time I didn't update right away and waited some days, which was fortunate this time.

Sorry I picked this old post. However, For XPSP3 todays updates are on the numbers. 9 in total, and all is well.
