Man this would be awesome!

Fudzilla - EVGA shows its Classified SR-2 motherboard

With two 6 core i7s and three GTX 480s (and two power supplies!). Oh well, if I win the lottery...

BTW, I hope to return to folding soon :-)

Re: Man this would be awesome!

Imagine the folding you could do on that rig if you had a FAH client on every CPU & GPU core!

That's what I was thinking: 6 SMP clients and 3 GPU clients it would be a single machine farm! Didn't win the lottery this week though

Re: Man this would be awesome!

Hello XJ and DBoone. You 2 and rforbes are having a heck of a battle for the top ten spot. I have been watching your battle over at the folding website. I fold under the user name N2LO. I am ranked down in the 50's at the moment and am working my way up slowly but surely. The question I have for you XJ is where did you get your folding banner here on these forums. I like how it shows your last 24hr points totals. Thanks for your time and keep folding

Edit: I finally found it as soon as I posted. Thanks anyways.

I was wondering too! Now that XJ has screamed past me I'm going to have to build a new rig. Look out XJ!

I forgot I used my real initials on this forum but used my online simracing name
when I signed up for folding.
I think to keep up with XJ, it may take more than just one new rig,
Unless of course you are thinking of building a new rig based on the MB that XJ linked to at the top of this thread.

Re: Man this would be awesome!

It's the two 260 GTXs that are doing all the work here. Thought I may add a 3.2GHz Quad to the mix (so long as it doesn't get too hot).

Awesome - I'd be more than happy to be beaten by you, since it's would be good for science and good for our team

I just wish more members would join the fold. Hey, we do what we can.

I agree. I have been watching the teams stats and we have been dropping quickly in the standings. Out of over 600 members registered, we have something like 28 active folding memebers. We was at over 810 cpu clients just a week ago and now it is down to 755. I hope the folders maybe just joined other teams so that the good is still being done.

XJ, you say it is your 2 260 GTXs doing all the work. I realise that Nvidia cards are much better for folding, but on my rig #1 in my sig, I have 2 4890 Ati cards in Crossfire, but I see that the GPU folding client only uses one card. How do you configure the client to use both cards or can I? One of the cards gets pretty hot, usually around 79c but the second cards just idles at 50c. I have both of my rigs in my sig folding but rig #2 only has the 1 4890 video card.
