Re: Man this would be awesome!

I don't think you can in Crossfire. Pretty sure that you have to separate them.

by toTow from FoldingForum.org:
Disable Crossfire and extend desktop to the second board, and the system will see two CAL devices (-gpu 0 and -gpu 1).

Re: Man this would be awesome!

I have been researching on folding on multiple GPU's and from what I understand, in order to enable multiple GPU's, each GPU has to have its own monitor with desktop extended in order for the GPU client to recgonize it. I tried to enable it anyways by using the multiple GPU flags and following the rest of the directions I found over at the folding site but it just errors out. But I do now have on each of my 2 rigs a gpu client folding and a cpu client folding.
From the pace I am on now according to the Extreme overclocking folding chart, I will pass DBoone in just 5 short years.

Thanks for the link their XJ, I will look into that and see what I can come up with.
Actually, the link in that post takes me to where I got the information I already tried. I have been thinking of trying a triple monitor setup for sim racing, so I may just wait until I go that route and then try the multiple GPU clients and until then, a single GPU and a cpu client per rig.

{edit}
OK one more update. I went ahead and hooked up a second monitor temporarily and now I am folding 2 gpu clients and one cpu client on rig #1. I now beleive I may catch DBoone in maybe 4.9 years, LOL

It would be great if a folder here wrote up a bit about the project and posted some information for newbies. Might find some members becoming interested and choosing to fold for the abx team that way.

I agree, we need someone who can motivate with written words to get others involved. It is really for a great cause and really requires no sacrifice from the donator. Honestly I don't understand how it all works, but understanding isn't required to do good. Abxzone has always been a great place for help. The people here are really great people and to see us fall in the standing over at the folding site just doesn't reflect on the quality of the memebers and mods we have here. I have received more help here than I could ever give back.
