Re: Windows 7 Tip of the Week: Save Even More Money with a TechNet Standard Subscript

I decided for the TechNet Professional subscription.

Awesome. This is what I should have taken long before. Just wasn't aware of it, until I read this thread.

Amazing how abxzone occasionally still can be a very useful platform for me, hence I peep onto this place regularly.

Re: Windows 7 Tip of the Week: Save Even More Money with a TechNet Standard Subscript

Guess I will step back to Standard.. MS and their crap
Quote:
Beginning in mid-March 2012, subscribers to TechNet Subscriptions (excluding TechNet Standard which are entitled to 2 keys per product) may access a maximum allocation of three (3) product keys for Microsoft Office and Windows Client products in connection with their subscription. The allotted keys may only be used for software evaluation purposes. Once the maximum keys have been activated, no more keys will be made available. Additional product keys may be acquired through the purchase of an additional subscription.
So what's the advantage of a pro subscription anymore?

Re: Windows 7 Tip of the Week: Save Even More Money with a TechNet Standard Subscript

Actually.. maybe I'll just cancel it.. would probaly be the same price or even more expensive than just buying a Windows with the policies they keep putting on technet.. would anyone be surprised if they pull it down to 1 key per product? And I seriously doubt this will counter piracy if that's their goal.. might even encourage it more or just make people quit using/buying MS products at all
