This is not Windows-8, if this is what you installed. Just to be clear. Windows-8 64bit is a 3.6g ISO, so you installed Windows-8? To see all the pros and cons?

Nope that's not the one I installed...when I went there I realized that
was not what I wanted.
Here's the link where I downloaded the Windows 8 Developer Preview

Well you through me by saying thanks rad. I am surprised you did this with the RC1 version of Win-8 in about a week away too.

Re: Windows 8;

When support ends the patches do not. Support is for when you have a problem they will support you and by email send you a hotfix outside of the second teusday patch day. Why you do not get this is beyond me.

It was just something to do, I've enjoyed

If we can't change the shell for corporate systems (to Aero) it'll be DOA, IMHO. I think M$ effed this one up.

Re: Windows 8;

Yeah W-8 has to much automation, harder to find things under the hood.
But also app's disappearing and windows crashing. W-8 runs an automated
repair when it crashes, but it doesn't work. I had to reinstall W-7.
This being a Windows 8 Developers preview. I'll give RC1 version of Win-8
a shot, but it better do a whole lot better then the Windows 8 Developers preview has.
Yes its starting to stink like another Windows ME 2 debacle.
Thats my first thoughts on W-8 maybe they'll change, but I wonder...
