Difference Between built in Administrator
What is different between the built in Administrator and a domain user in the administrator group, or as other Administrator on a local pc?

Re: Difference Between built in Administrator
I have an application that works great while logged in as the built in Win7 Admin but once I create the account with Admin rights the application fails once I try to launch it.

Re: Difference Between built in Administrator
The local administrator account has complete and utter control over the local system.
A domain administrator does have some limitations built into the group policy object (GPO). In order to run that application as a domain administrator, you need to go in and configure the domain administrator GPO and implement that across the domain. I have limited experience with that on Win 2k Adv. Server, but that information should still apply in a Windows environment, since GPOs are still in use. You will understand more once you start configuring a GPO. ![]()
