Yeah, it's a bit sus. I guess the forum is being moderated. Reminds me of an Amway convention.

August 15th: Developers will be able to download the final version of Windows 8 via your MSDN subscriptions.
August 15th: IT professionals testing Windows 8 in organizations will be able to access the final version of Windows 8 through your TechNet subscriptions.
August 16th: Customers with existing Microsoft Software Assurance for Windows will be able to download Windows 8 Enterprise edition through the Volume License Service Center (VLSC), allowing you to test, pilot and begin adopting Windows 8 Enterprise within your organization.
August 16th: Microsoft Partner Network members will have access to Windows 8.
August 20th: Microsoft Action Pack Providers (MAPS) receive access to Windows 8.
September 1st: Volume License customers without Software Assurance will be able to purchase Windows 8 through Microsoft Volume License Resellers.

You have a problem with a lock up and decide to give up the goodness of the interface and Windows 8? Do you also replace your car every time you get a flat tire?
That's exactly what I was talking bout.. "goodness"
The irony here is also his comparison.. I mean isn't getting Windows 8 like getting a new car?

Re: 8 rtm

Oh, M$ has plenty of shills who come out and pump up anything mickeysoft does. Same with Apple, NV, AMD, etc. M$ has the most shills, Apple has the loudest.

Re: 8 rtm

Get set for all the shills.....

They will just gush......

but 6 months from now......when word of mouth goes from user to user about the "learning curve"....and how a normal person is just LOST when using this OS.........

And sales have dried up after the intial fanfare....

and business, education and government have stayed away like the plague

Wonder how the shills are going to respond then.

and Apple shills are no better....their hype is the worst.....

but at least they have products that semi live up to the hype....LOL

Re: 8 rtm

Windows 8 genuine looks good. I can't wait for windows 9 though, because microsoft isn't very good at exploring new paths, but it sure can make up for it.

Re: 8 rtm

Where is the fanfare???

Where is the Hype??

It's like....silent on the net from mosat tech sites

Anand----nothing
Hexus----Nothing
Tom's Hardware---nothing

The list goes on.

Except the obvious PC shill sites that less and less even care about anymore.

I know it's just a RTM but Cmon.......Scary....it's almost like they want to sneak it out....

Or

Microsoft gives a big party and forgets to send invites.....

but it doesn't really matter as no one was coming anyway.
