Motorola SURFboard eXtreme SB6121 Cable Modem

I have had Road Runner 20 Mbps internet service from Bright House Networks for quite a while now and have consistently gotten 16-18 Mbps using their rented cable modem.
I decided to go and buy this one to see if it would consistently give me the 20+ Mbps I am paying for:
SB6121 SURFboard eXtreme Cable Modem - Motorola Mobility LLC. USA
I am now getting 29 Mbps!!!
Money well spent.

Re: Motorola SURFboard eXtreme SB6121 Cable Modem

I just bought the same modem. I am paying for 15 mbps and getting 21. I noticed it handles upload really well because I am getting 10 mpgs up. Again faster than I am paying for, but Cox uses some burst technology for its high speed. First few megs go faster than the rest, and I think it is skewing the results.
