Re: I like Comcast!

This was a real Surprise, got a letter and had to call in and sign up but the speed boost happened in minutes and the best part is I love the Red Zone in football season in the sports package, I usually only have the sport package during football season now for free for 2 years!

Re: I like Comcast!

25 Mbps for my Comcast internet. Now I am slightly envious of you FV. OK ... I'm over it now

Kills me that in some European and Asian countries one can get 10 times that performance for half the price

It really is pathetic that the US is far behind Europe and Asia in broadband saturation. Have you seen any recent maps?

Re: I like Comcast!

Just hit the 50MB/s with Comcast. Pretty much I was paying for current service but receiving the old speed that I don't think they even offer any longer. We changed over to Comcast Infinity cable television and the standard boost speed was now 50MB/s. Hopefully the wife won't have me change back to Dish and we will keep the TV/MODEM package with Comcast. All they had to do was update the boot file on the MODEM. I probably could have asked for this a long time ago because of what I was paying.

With these phone, TV, ISP services you have to stay on your toes and unsubscribe/resubscribe to take advantage of current pricing and packages otherwise companies are going to be fine with you paying more or receiving less or both.

Re: I like Comcast!

Right now we switched over TV to Comcast but didn't get the HD box plus we need another box for the bedroom still and I'm paying $80 for TV and 50MB/s IS.

Yeah I had 2 HD receivers and gave them back saved me $20 a month, I now use my outside antenna on those sets and get 55 free HD channels, with no compression, beautiful picture!
