Build 9879 was really buggy so I went back to Build 9841...apparently a lot of people online are having issues with 9879...it's a beta so it's to be expected I guess

got my Windows 10 preview build looking pretty close to Windows 7...the tiles in the Start Menu are still annoying but it looks prettier then Windows 7 overall...once they optimize things and get all the performance issues worked out this could be a really nice OS

Re: Windows 10 Preview!

I'm running it in a VM right now (VMware Player). It's on my HDD RAID0, so it's a bit slow visa vi disk operations. That last update (on the 'slow cycle') seems to be much more polished an is starting to look like a real operating system. I'd like to spend some time developing something on it using MSVS 2013; either in C++ or C# w/XAML (the later of which will supposedly be portable across all Win10 platforms). I just need to think of a project that I'd like to work on. That'll be a good way to see just how robust the OS is.

I should find a proggie to turn a vhd into an HDD image and just run in a partition for best results, but I wanted to start of conservative.
