Re: Fo4

Well, i'm really hoping that there's not too strong an infection of consolitis in this game. I am sure that my existing rig will have no trouble with it.

Re: Fo4

I been waiting a long time for this and I too hope it has not been dumbed-down.

Can't wait to explore with Dogmeat!

Re: Fo4

I think its out 11/15. Here are the min/max requirements.

The system requirements for Fallout 4 on PC are as follows:

Minimum:
•Operating system: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
•Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0GHz or equivalent
•Memory: 8 GB RAM
•Hard disk space: 30 GB free HDD space
•Video: NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent

Recommended:
•Operating system: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
•Processor: Intel Core i7 4790 3.6GHz / AMD FX-9590 4.7GHz or equivalent
•Memory: 8 GB RAM
•Hard disk space: 30 GB free HDD space
•Video: NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB / AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent

I am not in the know about games but a preferred i7-4790 and GTX 780 are at the very top Must be a demanding game. I didn't find out if it is DX12 or not. What concerns me is the plot. Is this like Half Life? If so I might give it a go. Never played FO before and I need an immersive game that looks good.

Re: Fo4

The minimum card (NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB) is not too far from my beloved old GTX 570 (a 5yr old card).

For some reason that card meant a lot to me. The GTX 570 had very good performance and lasted me a long time. I also had the GTX 285 before that that but GTX 570 lasted longer and became a favorite. I also got into games in a clan with my GTX 570. Believe it or not I never paid attention to GPU temps on that card, I was having too much fun like your suppose to. After I noticed the high GPU temps, wattage, and that my room got quite warm is when I started thinking about upgrading. It was a pretty warm card not far off from the GTX 580 which was a 250-300W card. I never had issues with the blower fan or it's dB's though.

It is the first card that I bought a back plate for.

Here's my Win7/X58 desktop.
EVGA GTX 570 Precision Tune and OC Scanner.jpg

Here's a funny story. I had the card for about 2yrs before I notice there was plastic cover all over the cards stickers. You can see the plastic in the pic below. You could not tell at all and the card had a satin look to it that I thought was normal. It wasn't until one day I saw a piece of something in the center of my fan. Heat and probably centrifugal force had started to peel the plastic slightly on the fan hub. After pulling it off I noticed it was all over the card and got about three more pieces. The card now went from looking satin Nish to glossy and brand new lol.

Another interesting note, I never took this card apart. The plastic shroud really encased the card ATT.

Re: Fo4

This is going to be a pretty cool game worth playing time IMO.

Fallout 4 - Launch Trailer - YouTube

Fallout 4 GAMEPLAY 20 Minutes E3 2015 - YouTube

It has a Half-Life-esq. to it with human soundbites and gun fights with deformities. Probably has a lot of suspense in it and not a continuous onslaught like Doom. I am also interested in it for its graphics muscle requirements. It's been a long time since I've played a game that taxes the current hardware of my PC.
