Metal Gear Solid V

I received a copy of this with a GTX980 purchase. It is a really fun game with nice graphics. This is my first Metal Gear game. The story line is good and the game mechanics are fun. Plenty of weapons available. Anyone else tried it out?

Re: Metal Gear Solid V

It is a hybrid FPS. You play in 3rd person but can aim in 1st person.

Coming in on the 5th one do you feel like you needed to play the earlier ones?

Re: Metal Gear Solid V

I'm sure there is some back story but I don't think it really affects game play. The main protagonist is in other games, I believe. I have not played any of the others but may check them out. It looks like some of them were not ported to PC.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V

There is an auto save only. It saves often though during a mission. There are checkpoints but it is not one of those systems that you do a bunch of stuff and have to redo them all. I haven't found it too annoying.
After playing if for awhile, I am not sure I would have paid full price for the game. But it has been fun and different. If you like stealth, you would like it.
