Re: Intel'sŪ Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel XTU)

Very good scores FVB, I might have to move up to the APEX. I ran the same benchmark and I got 2166pts, 81C, and all cores 4.4GHz.

Your system is looking really good, I knew that would be a nice system at stock and not run hot. I am really interested in it again, I am looking at different RAM right now.

It’s all in the mind.

Re: Intel'sŪ Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel XTU)

I have a few other disappointments with my system I am tired of and the APEX looks like a lean mobo. It really has just what I need. The OCing on this board is exceptional but I do not intend to OC the CPU but I would not mind leaning toward faster RAM. I am just not digging CL15/2666 that much. I am looking at the Kingston HyperX that does 3000/2666.

I just disabled my UPS CyberPower software, it has been giving me a warning for a long time. Anytime I do anything I get the 5min UPS battery warning. Also, I have the infamous ScanToPCApp disabled message all the time. Two issues I have never been able to work out along with the Magician software, and RAMCacheII comes to mind.

As far as the Intel Turbo 3.0 popup, you can uninstall the software but the driver will remain. This should get rid of the pop-up.

I get the same error message with the cyperpower software I set it to 2 minutes and so far it has not done it again, it happens when you push your rig in benchmarks the watts go up and if the power goes out it won't be able to keep your rig running for very long (next time I'm going back to a bigger ups, they had a 900 watt one for $119 on Black Friday) I will try the uninstall software of the Turbo 3.0 popup...thanks for the tips!

Thanks, I will give that a shot. I think the UPS is big enough. I don't intend to keep it up that long. When is the next big sales coming up?

Maybe Christmas, B&H should have one too....the 1350 should do the trick, I might just set mine to 1 minute....I'll no more when I run the AIDA benchmark...that should bring up the wattage!

Re: Intel'sŪ Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel XTU)

Yeah I would like you to run the AIDA64 benchmark suite and record your highest CPU temp.
