Windows 10 Wifi - cant connect to this network

I have a desktop PC running Win10 Pro, I bought a TP-Link TL-WDN3800 PCI-Express 802.11n 300Mbps card to connect to my wireless router.

On Wednesday I installed the card, booted up, Win10 auto installed the driver, and it worked perfectly.

The next day (Thursday) I booted up and it worked perfectly again.

Today (Friday) I booted up, suddenly the card fails to connect to the router.
It didnt auto connect, tried to manually connect and Win10 says "Cant connect to this network".
Typical Windows error messages are dumbed down to accommodate Neanderthals and make money in the Microsoft call centre so I have no idea 'WHY' it didnt connect.

I can see the SSID's of other wireless routers in the building, my SSID is hidden, so I click on 'Hidden Network' to connect to my hidden SSID, I enter the SSID, then the password, then it thinks for 2 seconds then says "cant connect to this network".

My Android phone connects fine, my other PC connects fine.

I work in IT HelpDesk so I know what I'm doing, nothing I tried resolves the problem.

Things I tried:

Default driver (which was working perfectly) was Microsoft supplied in 2006, so I downloaded the Win8.1 TP-Link driver (Win10 driver is not available).
Same problem.

I ran Windows Updates, upgraded Win10 to build 1511 (basically Service Pack1), the upgrade installed a 2015 driver provided by Qualcomm Atheross.
Same Problem.

Went into Win10 Network Settings and 'Forgot' the Wifi profile, then attempted to reconnect.
Same problem.

Rebooted the PC.
Same problem.

Restarted the router.
Same problem.

Tried connecting in a command prompt via the netsh.
Same problem.

Uninstalled the Wifi driver in Device Manager, scan for hardware changes.
Same problem.

Checked the router setup, max devices is set to 16 (3 devices connect in total, router shows two connections), no MAC filtering.

..why would it work perfectly for two days, then suddenly fail?
Perhaps a specific Windows Update? that's all I can think of. But my other PC installed the updates and that works fine.

Any idea?

Re: Windows 10 Wifi - cant connect to this network

Use windows restore to earlier day, when TP-Link TL-WDN3800 was working.
Also try to remember the last thing you did on the pc, before it went sideways
on ya....

Re: Windows 10 Wifi - cant connect to this network

I had one yesterday that worked good for a few hours then quit. It was a USB stick. No way I could get it to function again. Plugged a different one in and worked like a charm. This was with Win 10 also.

Re: Windows 10 Wifi - cant connect to this network

 It was set to 2 device connections maximum on the router.
Problem solved.
Thanks for the help anyway.
