Ken's link for $12.99, but could not get it to take me credit card...
So I got crazy and order it from STEAM for $29.+change...
Skully you can run it full screen you have to select the Aspect ratio of 21:9 in the video settings then it will show 3440 x 1440 then select that and your good to go!

Re: DooM 2016

Glad you got DooMed Skully!

Yeah, you have to go into settings and change the aspect ration to 21:9 and then 3440 pops up if I remember. I have been playing in full screen.

Re: DooM 2016

Yeah I hope Skully enjoys it. One of the cool things about this game is the maps change pretty drastically IMO. You start off outside and it looks gamey but there are some maps inside that look good and they are not dark and crowded like the train station. Then there is the really cool tower map which is really a course in jumping. Then there are timed maps and you really have to make use of pickups properly. I have been through the game and then went back some months ago. Now I am revisiting it and starting fresh but I started on the 4 highest difficulty level. I found out your health does not hold up as long and I have died 3x in a row in the second map lol. One thing I found about DooM vs. Borderlands and other games, pickup items like health do not regenerate. Once you use up the items that's all you get but there are other ways to replenish.

Re: DooM 2016

Yep I'm enjoying DOOM, monitor stays @ constant 100hz, it did jump to 102hz
for a very short time. Games run smooth, DOOM has interesting game maps.

Re: DooM 2016

If you guys want to get the most out of the game go into the TAB key every mission and make sure you completed all the objectives, secrets, etc. These add points so you can buy upgrades and become invincible. I remember first going through DooM and I was having fun and just kept pushing through until I could not go any farther. Found out I had never upgraded and had like 15 points available to spend. Getting shields and more health for the Praeter suit really helps.

Re: DooM 2016

After hitting tab there are 4 white circles at the top. You need to go through everyone of those to read and buy things. Also, here are the things you should complete every mission.
  • Complete the new secondary objectives. These give weapons upgrade points. An example is kill two mercenary's with one shot of the shotgun or get Glory kills on certain enemies. Glory kill is when they are vulnerable and you rip them apart instead of shooting.
  • Find all the collectibles (dolls). This adds upgrades as well. Hit Tab and look at the map for where they are located.
  • Find all the secrets. You will have to find spoilers online to help you with this.
  • Find the Classic map. There is one in each mission. You will find a pull lever in each mission that opens the door to the Classic map.

Check out my solid and stable gaming performance.
