Yeah I am very satisfied. Of course I haven't tried the 960 Pro but I doubt I would feel any difference. I am getting 2662MB/s Read and 1287MB/s Writes.

Moving files back and forth to my 850 Pro 1TB is a breeze no matter the size. All the rest I do is Outlook, Google Chrome browser, and occasional gaming. This system is plenty fast and as stable as the Rock of Gibraltar.

I doubt my system is any faster than a mainstream setup but I did not pay too much more for HEDT compared to what I would have paid for a high-end mainstream setup. It may be over kill for what I do but I love having the huge 6 core Xeon with 4 channel 32GB memory and a mobo with a lot of 16X 3.0 slots.

I am not OC'd at all and I have had zero problems since I got the new mobo and new power supply. I am counting on my system lasting a very long time.

Re: Z97-ws

Loaded my nimble rig with the latest Resident Evil incarnation and it's performing flawlessly. My SSD is still at 100% life after more than 1-1/2 years and 8-TBW.

Good morning everyone.

Yea we do have power house systems, and more then we need.
I concur with you, I really like having all the power /6 core cpu
and all that goes with it. I may keep this system for some time.

Re: Z97-ws

First sunny day I seen here in a long time. Still very wet.

Need to mention I have to revise my earlier Browser Ranking. Latest version of FF is fantastic. While it may not render text as sharp as Edge/IE - it makes up for it in other areas. A keeper!!!

Re: Z97-ws

I think everyone has a very nice, fast, and stable system here.

It is nice to have a lean mainstream system but I also like the muscle of the Xeon based big boards. The mainstream and HEDT systems are merging in ways. The HEDT I have now is very efficient and power controlled to the same extent as mainstream. There is no part of the mobo that gets hot really and I use less than 150W. For all I have going that is amazing. On the other hand, mainstream boards have gotten a lot beefier with power delivery for OCing and have all the features you can think of such as the ROG MAXIMUS IX FORMULA.

Re: Z97-ws

Your certainly right about the HEDT boards. They have muscle. If I had an app or whatever that would benefit from it, I would certainly have an HEDT. For now I'll get by with what I have, perhaps a upgrade of the GPU and SSD at some point. You have a superlative rig - enjoy.

BTW, Good morning everyone. Still see the site is not where it should be. Heck, back when the Obamacare site was brought back up faster than this. Just saying!
