Where did you uninstall it at, programs and features? Never mind I found it.

Re: Windows 10 Creative update?

I've been testing the Creator's Update (Redstone 2) builds for over six months now - not as huge as the Anniversary Update, but brings some nifty new programs (updated Paint, Paint 3D, updated Defender) and some new features (direct streaming using the Xbox app, Night Light, Game Mode), enhanced support for VR/AR apps, better Edge browser (tab management, security, etc.), Cortana enhancements, more control over Privacy settings, finer Windows Update controls (incl. enhancements to the Unified Update Platform - the OS now supports differential updates - i.e. only the necessary bits are downloaded as opposed to full builds), some enhancements to Start menu customization and themes, and tons of minor features and quality-of-life improvements.

All in all, this is a solid update - highly recommended.

Thanks Sammy, what things did you turn off on the setup part?

Re: Windows 10 Creative update?

Good to hear. In a month or so it should be better.

Re: Windows 10 Creative update?

Well, must be getting old. I swear I ticked Defer Features. Anywho, I got the update to 1703. What the heck, I had a fairly recent image of the prior install.

Overall, very smooth and no hiccups. So far so good. More ways to defer updates now.

Re: Windows 10 Creative update?

Well I tried installing it but it hung at 23% of setup, downloaded fine, did the restart fine and then it hung....I'll post a picture, my hardrive light was stuck on, it wasn't C-drive (my 950 Pro nvme drive doesn't work with the led light on my case) so it was one of my data drives. After 40 minutes I hit the reset button and it rebooted to the Fix last windows installed and I got up and running again! This is the second big update that failed on my rig....I think I'll unhook my 2 data drives and try again...in a few weeks....lol I don't know if its my rig now but can't upload a picture

Re: Windows 10 Creative update?

So far no problems with 1703. Minor adjustments needed in Windows Settings. Turned-off fast boot. Still cannot understand why 1703 downloaded when I had defer features ticked in the last build. Oh well, too late now.

They need to get rid/prune the Good Morning thread. It's too big!

Re: Windows 10 Creative update?

1703 is not bad. If I was you I would update in a month or so. Disconnect all but the OS drive. That may help with the issues you are having.
