New Bike!

The wife and I have been riding our old 15 speed bikes lately and I can tell I'm getting older, butt hurts, forearms, shoulders back all hurt...not much fun, so I've been researching bikes and I came up with a pedals forward design bike and took a test ride yesterday....boy what a difference this design makes in the comfort of riding this bike, seat is comfortable , my knees don't hurt, shoulders don't hurt...make a long story short I pick up my new bike tomorrow....lol

Re: New Bike!

Yea I use to ride a bike, not to many years ago. But it just got to
pain full, plus the gear, hard hat/ bike clothing. Sold me bike to
me neighbor, and haven't looked back. I walk most days....

Re: New Bike!

Replaced the bike with Motorcycle (Yamaha Virago 535) in the 90's.

Then came the baby... sold bike so it wouldn't fall on little one.

Same for me Skully my old bike is painful, but riding this new design for the little time I rode it none of the sore knees, sore butt, or shoulders...you're not bent over at all...plus my wife loves riding so being the good husband I am.....lol....if you believe that I have a bridge to sell you....lol

Here in Alameda we're lucky, paved off street bike paths everywhere and all flat....we do get the afternoon winds so your timing has to be good...

Re: New Bike!

Biking when you are a 140lb teenager is one thing.
A 240LB adult is compleatly different.

I hear ya! I can't ride my current bike because of back problems. Seems just five or six years ago I could easily ride my road bike with a race geometry. Now - no way; hunch over like that I'd have to be pried off the bike after a ride. Glad you found a solution you're happy with!

That's the whole idea your back is straight, you never hunch over...the handle bars are right there for you....
