No big surprise since MS announced Win9 (now Win10). Business and consumers alike will likely wait for PC's with Win10 if they can.

I should really try the preview on my HDD raid array (not as gutsy as Pentium4  ).

I don't know what MS should really do for pricing except for one thing - XP upgrades, especially enterprise and embedded versions, should be free. It's in MS' interest to wipe that old junk out!

I'm running the Windows 10 Preview on a spare ssd drive.
Installed off a thumb drive, install was fast/uneventful. Then
I used me ASUS install dis to install needed drivers.
Its been running smooth so far. In fact I'm using W-10
now as I type this post. I for one like W-8.1 it proved to
be a solid os for me. This W-10 looks ok, I just need to
learn the new tricks that come with W-10...

I installed it on a spare SSD I had laying around a couple of days ago. The install went good, no problems. It seems stable enough. Like Skully said it will take a while to learn the tricks of the os.

From what I heard it will be free for W8 users.

That would be a surprise. I don't want the upgrade version though. I want to be able to install on a fresh drive.
